Small groups have been a part of the Methodist movement from the beginning. Our founder, John Wesley, saw that Sunday mornings were not enough to help people sustain their faith, so people met weekly in small groups around the question "how is it with your soul?" These early Methodists learned the significance of doing life together—celebrating joys, holding one another in times of grief, wrestling with God and asking the tough questions that arise out of faith—they found deep meaning in combining friendship and faith. You have the opportunity now to participate in the same kind of intentional community.
