Greeters help to welcome guests and members as soon as they walk through our doors on Sunday mornings, by making every single person feel like they truly have come, “Home.”
Welcome and Connect Kiosk Volunteers
We have four “Welcome and Connect” kiosks throughout the building to assist persons with questions about what Sunday school, or other events and ministries that are happening around the church that day, or in the coming weeks.
Ushers assist in the 8:45 and 11:00 services by passing out worship guides as persons walk through the doors of the sanctuary. Ushers also help pass the offering plates during the offering in the service, and on the first Sunday of the month help direct the congregation to the communion rail.
In The United Methodist Church anyone can help serve the sacrament of Holy Communion. In the 8:45 and 11:00 services, volunteers are needed on the first Sunday of each month, and in the 11:11 service, volunteers are needed each Sunday to help serve this incredible meal conveying God’s grace for all people.
The Dubmobile is one of the ways we offer hospitality to guests and members by helping them get from the parking lot to the door on Sunday mornings.
Volunteers pick up Arborlawn folks who are in need of transportation to and from Sunday School/worship services each week. The drivers keep track of who will need a ride then arrive early enough Sunday morning to get the keys and prep the bus. The stewards assist the riders getting on the bus and then engage in conversation with them which allows the driver to concentrate on traffic.
If any of these ways to serve on Sunday excite you, please contact Rev. Joy Dister-Dominguez (email@example.com).
She will be happy to help connect you.
