Covenant | 10:00-10:45 am | Room 160
The Covenant Class believes that faith is like a muscle: It gets stronger with exercise. The class tries to shed preconceptions and study the Bible with fresh eyes. The class typically mixes lecture and lively discussion. Carl Clarke is our primary teacher. For Summer 2018, the Rev. John Loggins is leading our study of The Lord’s Prayer(s). Yes, there’s more than one in the Bible, and they don’t exactly match the version we usually pray.
For that matter, should we refer to the Lord’s Prayer, meaning a prayer that belongs to the Lord, or the Lords Prayer, without the possessive apostrophe, meaning a prayer for the Lord. (One author suggests calling it The Disciple’s Prayer.) Curious? Come visit. And catch up with the class by reading the weekly notes via the link below.
