Women's Ministries

Launched in January 2006, this program encompasses several women’s Bible studies. The various studies meet together twice a year for breakfast, fellowship and worship, and the individual studies meet weekly throughout the year.
United Methodist Women (UMW)
The United Methodist Women of Arborlawn United Methodist Church is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. The Arborlawn United Methodist Women is a group of approximately 200 women, ranging in age from young adult through some of Arborlawn’s more seasoned members. The Arborlawn UMW meets as a whole unit on the first Tuesday of each month from September through May. These general meetings include a speaker or program and a meal for a time of fellowship. Smaller groups, known as Circles, meet together later in the month in the morning and evening. Each Circle at Arborlawn has a unique focus, may it be Bible study or missions. Christian fellowship is also an important component of the United Methodist Women.
The Arborlawn United Methodist Women participates in a variety of mission project. As a group, UMW supports the Arborlawn Food Pantry and Snack Sack programs, United Community Centers, Church Women United, various projects of the Metropolitan Board of Missions, the Methodist Children’s Home, and a variety of programs through the Central Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. Through volunteering and giving, the Arborlawn United Methodist Women reach out in Christian love and service both locally and around the world.
All women are invited and encouraged to visit a general meeting of UMW. Please check the church calendar for upcoming events!
